What this calculator tells you

Use this calculator to estimate how many scheduled paydays fall between a selected start date and a target date. It is useful for planning around vacations, tuition payments, retirement milestones, project deadlines, or other personal events.

How paydays are counted

A payday on the start date is counted. A payday on the target date is counted. Paydays before the start date are not counted, and paydays after the target date are not counted. The calculator follows a fixed calendar schedule and does not automatically model public holidays, weekends, bank delays, or employer-specific payroll changes.

Weekly, biweekly, four-week, and monthly pay schedules

Choose a weekly, every-2-weeks, every-4-weeks, or monthly schedule. For monthly schedules, the calculator preserves the intended day-of-month and uses the final calendar day of months that do not contain that day.

Worked example

With a start date of July 29, 2026, a target date of August 31, 2026, a known payday of July 31, 2026, and an every-2-weeks schedule, the calculator shows 3 counted paydays: July 31, August 14, and August 28.
