What this recurring date finder tells you

Use this tool to find the previous occurrence, the current or next occurrence, the next future occurrence, and a list of upcoming recurring dates for a repeating event.

How repeating dates are calculated

The calculator uses fixed calendar rules. Days move forward by the entered number of calendar days, weeks move forward by the entered number of weeks, months preserve the intended day of month when possible, and years preserve the original month and day with February 29 handled as February 28 in non-leap years.

Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly schedules

Choose a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly recurrence pattern. The tool will show the next scheduled date and a list of upcoming occurrences from the chosen reference date.

Worked example

Original date: January 1, 2026. Repeat: Every 2 weeks. Reference date: July 29, 2026. The previous occurrence is July 16, 2026, the current or next occurrence is July 30, 2026, and the next future occurrence is also July 30, 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is an occurrence on the reference date included?

Yes. If the selected reference date matches a scheduled occurrence, that date is shown as the current or next occurrence.

Can the original date be in the future?

Yes. The calculator can work from a future anchor date and find future recurring dates from that point onward.

How are monthly dates on the 29th, 30th, or 31st handled?

The tool preserves the intended day of month when possible, and uses the final calendar day of shorter months when needed.

How is February 29 handled for yearly recurrence?

In non-leap years, February 29 becomes February 28. In leap years, the date remains February 29.

Does this tool adjust dates for weekends or public holidays?

No. It follows a fixed calendar recurrence pattern only and does not adjust for holidays, weekends, business rules, or policy changes.

Can I use it for medication, maintenance, billing, or appointments?

Yes, but it is a planning tool only. It does not replace medical, billing, or employer-specific scheduling guidance.
