Active dates, buffers, time, sessions, and daily averages.
Date-by-date study schedule
Session counts use the preferred maximum length and do not add or prescribe break time. This planner distributes requested time but cannot determine whether a workload is appropriate.
What this study-load planner tells you
Turn a remaining study-time goal into a balanced daily plan. The results show available dates, natural hour-and-minute assignments, estimated sessions, monthly totals, and a complete schedule.
How daily study time is calculated
Hours and additional minutes are converted to whole minutes. Completed time is subtracted, then the remainder is divided across every selected and available date from the start through the deadline.
How study time is balanced across dates
Each date receives the whole-number base assignment. Any remaining minutes are added one at a time to the earliest dates, so the complete schedule is balanced and totals exactly the requested remaining time.
How preferred session length is used
The preferred length estimates session count. Full preferred-length sessions are listed first, followed by one shorter final session when needed. Break durations are not added or prescribed.
How to skip unavailable study dates
Enter vacations, workdays, appointments, or other unavailable dates as YYYY-MM-DD. Separate them with commas, semicolons, or new lines. Duplicate dates count once, while dates outside the plan or on unselected weekdays are ignored.
Worked example
Plan 20 hours with 5 hours completed from July 29 through August 11, 2026, studying Monday through Friday in preferred 45-minute sessions. The remaining 900 minutes span 10 dates at 90 minutes and 2 sessions per date: 270 minutes across 3 July dates and 630 minutes across 7 August dates, for 20 sessions total.
Frequently asked questions
Is the start date included?
Yes, when its weekday is selected and it is not listed as unavailable.
Is the deadline included?
Yes, under the same selected-weekday and availability rules.
How is study time divided when it does not divide evenly?
The earliest dates receive one extra minute until the remainder is distributed.
Can I study only on selected weekdays?
Yes. Choose any combination of Monday through Sunday.
How do I skip vacations, workdays, or other unavailable dates?
Add their exact Gregorian dates to the unavailable-dates field.
What does preferred session length change?
It changes the estimated number and split of sessions, but not the total assigned study time.
Does the planner include breaks?
No. Session length estimates session count and does not add break time.
What if I have more study days than remaining minutes?
The earliest required dates receive one minute and later dates are identified as zero-minute buffer days.
Can I use this for exam preparation, courses, certifications, or language study?
Yes. It can distribute any whole-minute study target across a custom weekly schedule.
What should I do if I miss a scheduled study day?
Regenerate the plan with a new start date and your updated completed study time.
Does this planner measure whether the planned workload is realistic?
No. It distributes the requested time but cannot determine whether that workload is educationally or physically appropriate.
