How pages per reading day are calculated
The planner subtracts completed pages from the total, finds every selected and available reading date inclusively, and divides the remaining pages by those dates. The rounded-up target shows the minimum whole pages needed on the busiest assigned dates.
How the balanced schedule works
Every date first receives the whole-number base assignment. Any remainder is distributed one page at a time to the earliest dates. This creates a balanced schedule that adds up exactly, without fractional or excess pages.
How to skip unavailable reading dates
Enter vacations, appointments, or busy dates as YYYY-MM-DD, separated by commas, semicolons, or new lines. Duplicate dates count once. Valid dates outside the range or on unselected weekdays do not reduce the plan.
Worked example
For a 350-page book with 70 pages completed, reading Monday through Friday from July 29 through August 11, 2026 provides 10 reading dates. The remaining 280 pages become 28 pages per date: 84 pages across 3 July dates and 196 pages across 7 August dates.

Yes, under the same selected-weekday and availability rules.
How are pages divided when they do not divide evenly?
The earliest remainder dates receive one extra page; all assignments remain whole numbers.
Can I read only on certain weekdays?
Yes. Select any combination of Monday through Sunday.
How do I skip vacations or busy dates?
Add their exact dates to the unavailable-dates field.
What if I have more reading days than remaining pages?
The earliest required dates receive one page and later available dates are clearly marked as zero-page buffer dates.
Can I use this for textbooks, reports, or assigned chapters?
Yes. Treat the entered total as the amount of numbered pages you need to complete.
Does the planner estimate reading time?
No. It divides pages only and does not estimate reading speed, minutes, or hours.
What happens if I miss a scheduled day?
Enter a new start date and your current completed-page count to generate an updated plan.
