Decade breakdown
Partial first and final decades are shown when the remaining period does not align to a whole decade.

How the estimate works
The calculator multiplies your selected reading pace by the time remaining until your chosen target age. Books-per-period entries are converted to a daily pace; pages-per-reading-day entries use your reading schedule and average book length.
Target age is not a lifespan prediction
This calculator does not predict lifespan. You choose the target age, and the result estimates reading capacity from your selected pace. A birth-date result uses the calendar date of that birthday; an age-only result uses an average year length.
Why results are estimates
Book length, reading consistency, rereading, audiobooks, and changing interests can all alter a real reading total. The 25% slower and faster scenarios are planning comparisons, not a recommendation to read faster.
Frequently asked questions
How are monthly books converted?
The calculator uses 12 monthly periods per average calendar year.
What happens with a February 29 birthday?
When the target year is not a leap year, the target birthday is treated as February 28.
Can I use pages instead of books?
Yes. Enter pages per reading day, reading days per week, and an average pages-per-book estimate.
Does this judge reading quality?
No. It is a capacity estimate only.
