How does the salary earned this year counter work?
Smooth mode calculates annual salary multiplied by the elapsed share of the actual current calendar year. Work schedule mode calculates annual salary multiplied by elapsed selected paid time divided by all selected paid time in the year. Both are allocation models, not payroll statements.
What is the smooth calendar estimate?
It distributes salary evenly across every moment of the local calendar year, so the amount moves continuously while the selected salary period is active. This does not claim that an employer accrues or pays salary continuously.
What is the work schedule estimate?
It distributes salary across recurring selected weekdays and same-day paid work intervals. The counter moves only inside those intervals. An optional recurring unpaid break is excluded. Holidays, leave, overtime, and payroll timing are not modeled.
Why can the models differ?
Smooth mode uses all calendar time, while work schedule mode uses only selected paid periods. Their intermediate values can differ even though both reconcile to the entered salary over a full default year.

No. It uses only the recurring weekdays, times, and optional break entered.
Does this include taxes?
No. All monetary results use gross salary before taxes and deductions.
Privacy and limitations
Calculations remain in the browser. Salary, dates, and schedule values are not persisted or sent to analytics. The tool does not calculate taxes, paycheck timing, overtime, bonuses, commissions, or legally owed wages.
